‘Just 6.5’ to vie at Shanghai Int’l Filmfest

Iran feature ‘Just 6.5’ is to attend the Shanghai Int’l Filmfest in China.

Acclaimed Iranian feature film ‘Just 6.5’ has been scheduled to attend the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) in China.

Directed by Saeed Roustaee, the film will be running at the main competition section of the 23rd edition of the Chinese event.

‘Just 6.5’ tells the story of a veteran narcotics officer and his squad who search every corner of the capital as they hunt down the city’s largest drug lord, and the complications involved in their mission.

Peyman Maadi, Navid Mohammadzadeh, Parinaz Izadyar and Farhad Aslani make up the film’s main cast.

The Whānau Mārama: New Zealand Int’l Film Festival, the Jeonju Int’l Film Festival in South Korea, the Prague Int’l Film Festival in the Czech Republic, the Bengaluru Int’l Film Festival in India and the Pune Int’l Film Festival (PIFF) in India are some of the festival attends for the flick.

According to an earlier report ‘The Badger’ and ‘Crab’ is another Iranian flick to attend the Shanghai fest.

Established in 1993, the SIFF focuses on the markets, forums and film exhibitions to build an international platform.

The festival was originally scheduled for the month of June 2020, but it was postponed over the coronavirus outbreak.

The event’s updated announced date is July 25-August 2, 2020.
